
Although The "Scream" series was originally intended to be a trilogy, a fourth movie has been rumored on and off several times, particularly with some fans, since the release of the third installment. The movie was officially announced in July of 2008 by The Weinsteins/Dimension in a press release, and is due for release in 2010, 10 years after Scream 3 (2000).
A fourth movie was announced by the Weinstein Company in July 2008. Wes Craven said that he wouldn't mind directing this film, but it would take a very good script to get him back. Craven also went on to say, "It would take it being really as good a script as the first one was, and the pay day reflects what I've done for that company." Writer Kevin Williamson is writing the fourth film and has said that it is part of a new trilogy. According to Variety, Bob Weinstein has confirmed that Neve Campbell will return as Sidney Prescott in Scream 4. He also said that Wes Craven has agreed to direct. Courteney Cox Arquette. David Arquette and Alex Williams have also been confirmed.

Lara Stone in French Vogue
For its October issue, which is dedicated to supermodels, French Vogue features Lara Stone painted in what has been widely called contemporary blackface. The blonde Dutch beauty's pale skin was painted dark brown for several couture-filled shots in a 14-page spread. Reactions have varied widely -- from bloggers calling the images extremely racist to others seeing the French Vogue team as simply pushing the envelope by reappropriating historically charged symbols to give people a visceral reaction to fashion.
